We Are Rejoicing That God Provides
We are once again rejoicing that God provides. We had a meeting last night to up date us on how the work on the church is progressing, and we are pleased to report that all the work can be completed that was originally in our plan. We are so delighted with this because we were not sure whether we would have enough money to do everything we wanted to. God is good. We are now eagerly anticipating the opening of The Wesley Centre at the end of September.
There is a lot more to do to get The Centre ready. There is the additional work that Jonathan is carrying out, and we are very grateful for that. There is also the cleaning of the whole building and making sure everything is in its place. We still need to buy the equipment for the Café/Hub and set everything up in the way we want it. We have the RAF Cranwell Military Wives Choir performing at our church on Saturday 30th September, and so we are aiming to have most of the preparation work done by then. This will be a real celebration of what God has done for us over the last five years. We are so grateful for his generosity and provision in all that he has done for us during this time. We think back to the vision he gave us, and all the meetings we have had since, all the setbacks and the mountains to climb, and now we are within touching distance of the building being ready.
We now have to think of the work we will do in The Wesley Centre and how God will lead us into the community to be involved there. We know that the Devil will try to stop us, he will try to divide us, he will do everything he can to put barriers in the way to stop the work going ahead. We can take this as a sign of encouragement that our church is moving forward, and Satan hates that. We are so thankful for the number of people who have joined our church in the last year and now we want to acknowledge that in having a thanksgiving service for them and also to acknowledge that God is working and will continue to work in our church and in our area.
We need to continue to pray for the work of the church. Nothing is accomplished without prayer. We need to pray for the ongoing work of the church and also for the way God will lead us in the future to build up links with our community. We need to pray about the resources we need to maintain the buildings and also for the finances to be able to pay off the loan which we have taken out. We need to pray about the outreach work and also for the groups that will be using our facilities.
Now we are looking at opening The Wesley Centre we need volunteers to help us run The Centre. We have a Management Group and a Leadership Team which will be meetings soon to discuss these issues. Please let us know how you would like to play your part in this new venture.
God Bless
Peter
